Like any seaside town, a boat ride is in order. A popular boat trip in Torquay is a wildlife sightseeing cruise. Most of the allure comes with the staggering views of the coastline. The trip is about an hour long and is very affordable, making it a great activity for those traveling with their families. This isn’t the only boat trip. There are two primary companies that operate boat tours in the area, the Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company and Greenway Ferry Cruises.
The most popular beach in the area is probably Torrey Abbey Sands. There are a lot of amenities near the beach thanks to its close proximity the center of town. When the tide is low, there is a lot of room on the beach. Other beaches in the area are Corbyn’s Head and Livermead Sands. Hollicbome, on the edge of Torquay, is the best beach in the area for those that like to swim.
